Who are we?
WaitersRace.com team is composed of fans from France who are waiters race enthusiasts and supporters. We work in the field of web communications and marketing.
Before we endeavored on this project most of us had worked as waiters in some of the most popular cafes and restaurants in France and elsewhere. However, we don’t claim to be full-time professionals in this industry. WaitersRace.com started one evening back in 2003 while we were drinking wine and coffee reminiscing about our past service industry experience. Later in the evening, we watched the famous movie by the French director Claude Lellouche “Tout çà pour çà” and were specifically moved by the scene where waiters are racing through the streets of Paris. We immediately connected to this scene!
As the years went by, we started collecting information about waiters races. It was then when we realized that there were thousands of documents about waiters races around the world, but most of it was disorganized and not easily accessible. We decided then that we would dedicate our effort and resources to give the waiters race events and its participants, the “Garçons de Café,” the recognition they deserve. The WaitersRace.com concept was thereafter born! We have spent considerable time to develop this website on behalf of the Waiters Race community around the world. We hope you will enjoy our site and help build our community!
